Doggerel Day

I had one cigar yesterday
It was when my wife had up and flown away.
She may have not been gone forever
But cigar smoke's as nice as the smell of leather.
It gave me a chance to practice my doggerel
Instead of writing the usual smart-ass cock'n'bull.
Oh god, can these lines get any more irregular
And badly syncopated, I cannot think how morer.
But cigars taste good with a good splash of beer,
And later, with coffee, the taste reappears.
So cigars and coffee and beer and doggerel
Taste good together, lets plunder and rob'em'all.
