The time when you said
I was fat
I felt anger and shame
But mostly I thought
"Fuck that"

But when the plane belt barely met
With a perceived public shame
Devoid of anger and blame
This is what made me snap

Awake, and measuring calories
I do better than acquiring values.

And somehow my private potterings
Are more real than a mirror's light
You see, these small calorific jottings
Work better than your marital bite
